Independent wealth management for business owners, founders, and senior executives.
Whole-of-market financial planning for clients approaching a liquidity event, managing concentrated equity, or building wealth designed to outlast a single generation.
As featured in The Times and The Sunday Times.
Most wealth managers operate inside restricted advice models. Their advisers can only recommend a defined panel of products, almost always built around the in-house investment platform of a parent firm.
Oculus is different. We are whole-of-market. There are no proprietary funds we are obliged to recommend, no platform we are required to use, and no commission earned from where your money goes. Our fees are agreed in pounds and pence before any work begins, and they remain the same regardless of which manager, structure, or product turns out to be the right answer.
For a client preparing for or recovering from a liquidity event, that distinction is not academic. It is the difference between advice shaped by your situation and advice shaped by someone else’s distribution model.
Why independence matters
What we do
We work with business owners, founders, and senior executives at the planning moments that materially change long-term outcomes including preparing for a sale, structuring an executive equity package, or deploying the proceeds of an exit. Whole-of-market, no proprietary product, fees agreed in pounds and pence before any work begins.
Selling your business
For owners eighteen months to five years from sale, and for those who have already completed. Pre-sale structuring to reduce capital gains tax, BADR planning, EIS reinvestment, pension funding pre-completion, and the deployment of proceeds afterwards. The decisions made before exit determine how much you actually keep.
Executives with significant equity
For senior leaders with LTIPs, RSUs, EMI options, or restricted shares. Managing concentrated single-stock risk, planning around vesting and lock-up periods, and ensuring that the value of compensation translates into long-term financial security rather than tax leakage and undiversified exposure.
After the liquidity event
For founders, executives, and inheritance recipients whose financial position has just changed materially. Capital deployment, portfolio construction, multi-decade tax efficiency, and the planning conversations that protect significant wealth across a family rather than just a balance sheet.

A no-obligation conversation to understand your situation and whether independent advice is the right fit. We work with clients from £1m of investable assets, and most engagements begin with a sale on the horizon, an executive package to structure, or proceeds that need careful deployment.
About Oculus Wealth
I joined Oculus Wealth Management in April 2025 after nearly a decade at Investec Wealth & Investment, where I advised on over £100m of client wealth.
Within an institutional firm, the scope of advice is necessarily restricted, built around a defined list of products, platforms, and managers. The clients who came to me with the most complex situations were almost always the clients who least needed restricted advice. They needed recommendations shaped by their circumstances rather than by a parent firm’s distribution model.
Oculus exists to do that work properly. Whole-of-market. No proprietary products. No commission. Fees agreed in pounds and pence before any engagement begins.
We work with business owners, founders, and senior executives from £1m of investable assets upwards. Most clients come to us at an inflection point, whether that is preparing for a sale, exercising significant equity, deploying the proceeds of an exit, or planning the next generation of family wealth.

Outside of work
Outside the firm, the priorities are my wife, training, and travel (usually long-haul). I boxed for several years and was previously part of the Elite Player Development Programme at Bath Rugby Academy. I have been fortunate to travel around most of North America, Australia, and New Zealand, plus a fair amount of Europe. I also have an ongoing interest in human performance and longevity.
